Summary of Role

The Lead Clinical Dev Ops Analyst is responsible for clinical systems and reporting for business operations, including report development, data analysis, system change management, and user support. The role involves strong collaboration across departments and requires expertise in data, systems, and reporting tools (Excel, queries, dashboards).


Key Responsibilities

System & Reporting Management

  • Serve as subject matter expert for assigned solutions (systems, dashboards, data, reporting).

  • Maintain and enhance systems, reports, and dashboards based on business needs.

  • Lead changes due to source system or IT updates impacting downstream reporting.

  • Ensure data quality through testing and validation.

Data & Report Development

  • Design and maintain complex data models (multiple tables & relationships).

  • Develop new reports/dashboards aligned with business requirements.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders for data discovery and visualization strategies.

  • Use agile methodologies to deliver timely solutions.

User Support & Training

  • Respond to support inquiries and resolve reported issues.

  • Develop and maintain knowledge bases and training materials.

  • Deliver user training sessions for internal/external customers.

  • Manage and resolve Service Desk tickets efficiently.

Collaboration & Leadership

  • Partner with business units, IT, and stakeholders on reporting projects.

  • Lead process improvement initiatives (data flows, workflow tools).

  • Act as Business Application Owner or Module Owner Liaison when assigned.

  • May act as a line manager for junior team members.

Other Duties

  • Prepare and present updates in meetings.

  • Escalate critical issues appropriately.

  • Support proof-of-concepts and strategic data visualization initiatives.

  • Perform other assigned tasks as required.

  • Minimal travel (up to 10%).


Qualifications & Skills

🎓 Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) with strong technical/data background.

  • Significant experience in clinical systems, reporting, and data analysis.

💻 Technical Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of data modeling, reporting, and query/Excel tools.

  • Experience with system upgrades, integrations, and migrations.

  • Ability to design, test, and validate reporting solutions.

🤝 Soft Skills:

  • Critical thinking and problem-solving.

  • Strong communication and customer-focused approach.

  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and initiatives.
