Work Schedule
2nd Shift: Thursday – Sunday, 1:00 PM – 11:30 PM
Shift Differential: Eligible for 10% due to 2nd shift hours

Job Responsibilities
Review and certify LC/MS data using Analyst and Ascent software
Determine data acceptability and upload results
Verify calibration, quality controls, and patient data, including result entry
Maintain, calibrate, and clean instrumentation (GC, GC-MS, HPLC, UPLC-MS/MS, and other lab equipment)
Diagnose and troubleshoot instrument issues; recognize significant changes in instrument function
Conduct qualitative and quantitative analyses on organic and inorganic samples
Participate in development of new analytical procedures
Perform routine and complex technical procedures per departmental SOPs
Make technical decisions regarding testing and problem-solving
Evaluate raw and final data for accuracy; recognize and correct errors
Provide guidance to technical staff on analysis and interpretation of results
Assist with training and orientation of new employees
Perform and document preventive maintenance and quality control procedures
Identify and replenish testing bench supplies
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Biological Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology
Minimum 2+ years of clinical laboratory testing experience
Experience with chromatographic data review preferred, not required
Advanced knowledge of laboratory and/or department functions
Ability to exercise judgment in methods and procedures for new assignments
Proficient with computers and familiar with laboratory information systems
High attention to detail, strong communication, and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Must pass a standardized color vision screen
Flexibility to work overtime or other shifts as needed
