Pay Range: $86,700 – $173,300 (location-specific variations may apply)

The Opportunity

The Clinical Data Manager is responsible for data management activities across all phases of a clinical study—startup, conduct, and reporting. This includes developing and maintaining processes, ensuring high-quality data collection, and mentoring junior team members.

This role is critical to the accuracy, integrity, and reporting of clinical trial data.


Key Responsibilities

  • Translate clinical study requirements into trial Casebooks

  • Develop and maintain Data Management Plans (DMPs)

  • Design edit check specifications and support automated data cleaning

  • Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) of clinical databases, reports, notifications, and customizations

  • Create study-specific data listings and ensure data accuracy and integrity

  • Identify, investigate, and resolve data discrepancies and inconsistencies

  • Propose and implement process improvements, develop procedures, and train peers on new processes

  • Mentor junior Clinical Data Management Analysts


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Life Sciences, or related Technical Field

  • Equivalent education/work experience combination considered

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in clinical, medical, or research settings


Preferred Qualifications

  • Expertise in clinical trial data collection best practices

  • Strong knowledge of global clinical operations

  • Proficiency with EDC (Electronic Data Capture) and eTMF systems

  • Experience with SAS, SQL, and other industry-standard analysis/reporting tools

  • Intermediate-to-advanced knowledge of:

    • Anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology

    • Therapy-specific device and treatment areas

    • Medical terminology, diagnostics (imaging, labs), and medications

  • Exceptional attention to detail, analytical, and problem-solving skills

  • Certified Clinical Data Manager (CCDM) or equivalent credential preferred
