Job Purpose

The In Vitro ADME Scientist will support drug discovery and development projects by conducting high-quality in vitro metabolism assays to evaluate the ADME properties of small molecules. This role involves executing liver microsome and CYP inhibition studies, managing laboratory operations with automation platforms, and ensuring strict compliance with safety and quality standards.


Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, execute, and troubleshoot in vitro metabolism assays using human liver microsomes.

  • Conduct single-point inhibition, reversible CYP IC₅₀ inhibition, and TDI-IC₅₀ shift assays.

  • Prepare Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Experimental Operating Procedures (EOPs).

  • Record and report study results accurately and on time in cross-functional team meetings.

  • Maintain high standards of laboratory housekeeping and ensure compliance with EHS guidelines.

  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to support multiple high-volume projects.

  • Operate liquid handling systems and automation platforms efficiently.


Educational Qualification

  • M.Pharm in Pharmaceutical Sciences or M.Sc in Biological Sciences.


Technical & Functional Skills

  • Strong knowledge of in vitro ADME assays and DMPK principles.

  • Proficiency in data analysis software such as Microsoft Excel and GraphPad Prism.

  • Experience with automation platforms is desirable.

  • Ability to troubleshoot and optimize assay performance.


Experience Required

  • Foundational industrial experience in DMPK/ADME research is preferred.

  • Demonstrated experience in conducting and interpreting in vitro metabolism studies.

  • Ability to deliver study reports on time and adapt to dynamic lab environments.

  • Effective communication skills for presenting study results in meetings.
