About the Role:
Sanofi is hiring a seasoned HSE Auditor to join its international team responsible for conducting Health, Safety, and Environment audits of third-party suppliers and service providers. This role ensures Sanofi’s supply chain integrity, legal compliance, and environmental standards by identifying, evaluating, and mitigating HSE risks across global operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Audit Execution & Reporting:

  • Conduct on-site and remote audits of suppliers and service providers to identify HSE risks affecting Sanofi's legal liability, reputation, and supply continuity.

  • Produce detailed audit reports and executive summaries for internal stakeholders.

  • Develop and follow up on corrective action plans ensuring mitigation of critical risks.

  • Maintain comprehensive documentation in Sanofi’s internal tools.

Risk Management & Compliance:

  • Escalate high-risk situations and support implementation of immediate mitigation actions.

  • Collaborate with Procurement, External Manufacturing, and CSR teams to reduce risk exposure and optimize third-party portfolios.

  • Ensure traceability and regulatory alignment in all HSE procedures, especially across India and China.

Continuous Improvement & Insights:

  • Provide trend analysis, contribute to process optimization, and propose regulatory updates to the Global HSE team.

  • Share audit outcomes with local partners to drive continuous improvement and compliance culture.

Travel Requirement:

  • Willingness to travel 15–20 weeks/year, both domestically and internationally, to audit third-party sites.

About You:

Experience:

  • 10–14 years in the pharmaceutical industry with extensive HSE auditing experience.

Technical Skills:

  • Expertise in HSE systems, including:

    • Process safety

    • Fire and explosion risk

    • Occupational exposure control

    • Emission and waste management

    • Pharmaceutical environmental impact

  • Familiarity with local HSE regulations in India and China.

  • Industrial or R&D site exposure required.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong analytical, interview, and audit techniques.

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and cross-cultural adaptability.

  • High level of autonomy, rigor, and systematic thinking.

Education:

  • Scientific degree in Engineering, Organic Chemistry, or Chemical Engineering.

Languages:

  • Fluency in English (spoken and written) is essential.
