Role Overview
IQVIA is seeking a skilled Histology Technician to join its advanced laboratory operations in Valencia, California. This role supports critical pathology workflows through high-quality tissue processing, embedding, sectioning, and staining techniques essential for accurate diagnostic and research outcomes.
This position is ideal for candidates with hands-on experience in histopathology who are looking to contribute to impactful laboratory work within a global life sciences organization.
Shift: Monday to Friday (Flexible start between 5:00 AM – 7:00 AM, end time 1:30 PM – 3:30 PM)
Key Responsibilities
Perform routine tissue processing including paraffin embedding, microtomy, and histological staining.
Prepare slides for microscopic evaluation in accordance with laboratory procedures and quality standards.
Execute staining protocols to support accurate pathological interpretation.
Operate, calibrate, and maintain histology equipment and instruments.
Ensure full compliance with CLIA, CAP, and other regulatory laboratory requirements.
Participate in process improvements, SOP revisions, and method troubleshooting.
Maintain laboratory inventory and support lab organization aligned with 6S standards.
Complete all documentation following Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and regulatory guidelines.
Support study setup, cross-functional initiatives, and laboratory coordination as needed.
Required Qualifications & Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
2–3 years of hands-on experience in a histopathology laboratory or related field.
ASCP certification or equivalent, with at least 1 year of experience in clinical, academic, research, or production laboratories.
An acceptable equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.
Skills and Abilities
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs; role involves frequent standing, walking, and fine motor tasks.
Proficiency in tissue processing, staining techniques, and specialized histology equipment.
Strong attention to detail and organizational capabilities.
Ability to troubleshoot laboratory instruments and technical issues.
Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with peers, supervisors, and internal clients.
Comfort working in controlled environments with occasional exposure to cold temperatures.

Compensation
Annual Base Pay Range: $46,200.00 – $96,200.00
