Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute innovative strategies for the Therapeutic Area Safety (TAS) function across the product lifecycle, ensuring alignment with organizational and regulatory goals.
  • Team Management: Lead global safety experts in various therapeutic areas, optimizing benefit-risk management, risk communication, and safety practices.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with senior leadership in clinical, regulatory, and commercial departments to align safety strategies with organizational objectives.
  • Transformation Initiatives: Champion safety innovations by integrating new technologies, data analytics, and AI to advance safety practices.
  • Talent Development: Recruit and mentor a high-performance safety team, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and growth.
  • Global Safety Trends: Monitor safety trends and adapt strategies to stay aligned with industry advancements and evolving regulations.

Qualifications

  • Basic Qualifications:
    • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
    • 5 years of industry or academic research experience.
    • 6 years of managerial experience, leading teams or projects.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • PhD with 15 years of relevant experience in pharmacovigilance, regulatory science, or therapeutic expertise.
    • Clinical experience in an academic or private practice setting.
    • Expertise in international drug safety regulations and global pharmacovigilance processes.
    • Strong strategic vision and leadership skills, with experience managing complex global teams and projects.
