Job Summary:
Eurofins Lancaster Laboratories Professional Scientific Services (PSS) is hiring a GMP Raw Materials Supervisor for its Rensselaer, NY location. This full-time, on-site leadership role offers an excellent opportunity for experienced candidates to manage QC operations, ensure cGMP compliance, and contribute to pharmaceutical manufacturing excellence. Ideal for professionals with strong leadership, analytical, and team coordination skills within the pharmaceutical industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Responsibilities:
Lead cross-functional teams to deliver optimal client services.
Investigate quality deviations and implement preventative measures.
Ensure superior customer service and operational ownership.
Organize and track training activities, team metrics, and documentation.
Maintain laboratory supplies and oversee housekeeping tasks.
Handle, document, and dispose of samples per SOPs.
Calibrate or verify laboratory instruments and equipment.
Support review and revision of controlled documents (SOPs, batch records, logbooks).
Perform sample collection and testing as needed during staff shortages.
Communicate findings and improvement recommendations in group meetings.
Leadership Responsibilities:
Manage direct reports, group leaders, and technical teams.
Lead administrative and operational communications.
Meet productivity, quality, and teamwork metrics.
Oversee scheduling, task allocation, and onboarding of new hires.
Coordinate and enhance training programs.
Drive process improvements using LEAN, Operational Excellence, and Six Sigma principles.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related scientific field.
3–5 years of proven leadership experience in a GMP environment.
Strong teamwork, adaptability, and client-focused approach.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to multi-task, plan proactively, and drive productivity.
Team-building and leadership skills.
Authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or sponsorship.
