Job Description

Sandoz is seeking a highly skilled Global Senior Toxicologist to join their Research & Development team. This role is focused on conducting toxicological risk assessments, evaluating impurities and excipients, and overseeing preclinical studies to ensure the safety of products across various stages of development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare toxicological risk assessments for impurities and excipients, including genotoxicity hazard assessments.
  • Conduct Ecotoxicological Risk Assessments (M1.6).
  • Determine harmful doses for children and conduct safety assessments for packaging and materials.
  • Perform health hazard assessments for occupational safety and cleaning validation.
  • Plan, organize, and interpret outsourced preclinical studies (both in vitro and in vivo) following GLP and other GXP standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external experts as required by product/project needs.
  • Review and ensure the safety of materials used in product development and packaging.
  • Participate actively in product development teams and share knowledge within the organization.
  • Undertake additional tasks as directed by the supervisor, based on annual objectives and key performance indicators.
  • Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and property protection protocols at work.

What You’ll Bring to the Role:

Education:

  • University degree in life sciences (e.g., pharmacy, veterinary, medicine, biology, (bio)chemistry).

Experience:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in toxicology.
  • Strong background in preparing toxicological risk assessments and planning preclinical studies.
