Role Summary

The Global HEOR Economic Modeling Manager is responsible for developing global health economic models that support market access, pricing, reimbursement, and health technology assessment (HTA) strategies.

The role translates clinical, epidemiological, real-world, and economic data into decision-making models used by payers and HTA agencies worldwide.


Key Responsibilities

Health Economic Model Development

  • Design and develop global cost-effectiveness and budget impact models

  • Build models using methodologies such as:

    • Markov models

    • Partitioned survival models

    • Cost-utility analysis

    • Cost minimization models


Programming & Technical Modeling

  • Develop and implement models using:

    • Excel

    • R

    • Python

  • Integrate clinical trial data, real-world evidence, epidemiology, and cost inputs


Data Analysis & Evidence Generation

  • Conduct statistical analysis of:

    • Clinical trial outcomes

    • Real-world data

  • Generate model inputs such as:

    • Survival estimates

    • Treatment effects

    • Resource utilization

    • Health utilities


Advanced Statistical Methods

  • Perform:

    • Network Meta-Analysis (NMA)

    • Matching-Adjusted Indirect Comparisons (MAIC)

  • Support comparative effectiveness evaluations


Scenario & Sensitivity Analysis

  • Conduct:

    • Univariate sensitivity analysis

    • Multivariate sensitivity analysis

    • Probabilistic sensitivity analysis

  • Evaluate robustness of economic models


Deliverables & Documentation

  • Develop:

    • Economic model structure and programmed model

    • Technical reports

    • User guides

    • Presentation materials

    • Publications (as required)


Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Work closely with Global HEOR Product Leads

  • Align models with product strategy and lifecycle planning

  • Communicate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders


External Environment Monitoring

  • Track evolving:

    • HTA guidelines

    • Payer requirements

    • Health economics methodologies


Required Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in:

    • Health Economics

    • Econometrics

    • Statistics / Biostatistics

    • Mathematics

    • Operations Research

    • Engineering or related quantitative field


Experience

  • Master’s degree: 6+ years experience

  • Bachelor’s degree: 8+ years experience

  • Experience in:

    • Health economic modeling

    • Pharmaceutical / biotech / consulting environment

    • HTA or payer submissions


Technical Skills

  • Excel, R, Python, SAS, or STATA

  • Economic modeling techniques (CE, BIA, NMA, MAIC)

  • Statistical analysis of clinical and real-world data
