Job Summary

Cognizant is hiring a German Speaking Pharmacovigilance QC Associate for a maternity cover contract in Budapest, Hungary. This hybrid role offers exciting exposure to global drug safety operations in a fast-growing pharmaceutical environment. Ideal for freshers or professionals with up to 2+ years of pharmacovigilance experience, the role focuses on case processing, quality control, and ensuring compliance with international PV regulations. Key Responsibilities

  • Receipt, triage, translation, and processing of adverse event reports.

  • Conduct case validity and seriousness assessments as per SOPs.

  • Perform duplicate searches and appropriate case booking in Argus Affiliate/Core.

  • Complete data entry of mandatory information into the PV database.

  • Conduct self and peer Quality Checks (QC) on case processing activities.

  • Handle queries, discrepancies, and follow-up requirements from central PV teams.

  • Generate follow-up letters and transfer safety data via Document Exchange Tool.

  • Maintain case tracking records and ensure process flow adherence within SLAs.

  • Ensure accurate translation and completeness of AE reports and documents.

  • Identify and correct data errors; initiate corrective actions when required.

  • Participate in training, mentorship, and audit preparation activities.


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Graduate/Postgraduate/Doctorate in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, or Medical Sciences.

  • 0 to 2+ years’ experience in pharmacovigilance (freshers encouraged to apply).

  • Proficiency in English and German (B2 CEFR or higher, or equivalent).

  • Knowledge of Argus safety database preferred.

  • Familiarity with pharmacovigilance case processing, MedDRA coding, and GVP guidelines.

  • Understanding of ICH-GCP, PV regulations, and AE documentation practices.

  • Strong attention to detail, quality control orientation, and time management skills.

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a multicultural environment.
