Job Summary

Join Cognizant as a German Speaking Pharmacovigilance QC Associate based in Budapest, Hungary. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform case receipt, triage, translation, and data entry into Argus Affiliate/Core database.

  • Conduct duplicate searches, validity assessments, and seriousness determination of cases.

  • Execute self and peer Quality Checks (QC) of pharmacovigilance cases.

  • Handle anonymizing/redacting of documents and adverse event forms.

  • Manage case follow-up actions, queries, and documentation flow between local and central processing units.

  • Ensure scientific rigor and regulatory compliance (ICH-GCP, GVP) in adverse event reporting.

  • Generate follow-up letters and handle safety data exchange via Document Exchange Tool.

  • Mentor, train, and provide feedback to junior team members.

  • Support audits, inspections, and process improvement initiatives.


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Graduate/Postgraduate/Doctorate in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Medical Sciences, or related field.

  • 0–2+ years’ experience in Pharmacovigilance preferred (Freshers may apply).

  • Proficiency in English and German (minimum B2 CEFR or equivalent).

  • Familiarity with Argus safety database, case processing, and AE documentation.

  • Understanding of global pharmacovigilance guidelines (GVP, ICH-GCP).

  • Excellent attention to detail and quality control orientation.

  • Strong organizational and communication skills.

  • Ability to work in a multicultural, dynamic environment.
