  • Lead the development of RWE study protocols, statistical analysis plans, and comprehensive study reports.

  • Identify and qualify fit-for-purpose real-world data (RWD) sources, including claims databases, EHRs, and other structured datasets.

Data Management & Analysis

  • Construct RWD cohorts, evaluate key variables, validate data sources, and ensure accurate identification of diagnoses and procedures.

  • Conduct descriptive and comparative analyses addressing advanced methodological research questions.

  • Support the integration of primary and secondary data sources for robust epidemiological modeling.

Scientific Leadership & Communication

  • Lead scientific communication of study results through regulatory documentation, publications, white papers, and internal strategy presentations.

  • Coauthor abstracts and peer-reviewed manuscripts for scientific dissemination.

  • Communicate insights effectively to support internal decision-making and cross-functional planning.

Cross-Functional & Vendor Collaboration

  • Manage internal teams, external vendors, and cross-functional collaborators to ensure alignment on timelines, quality, and deliverables.

  • Contribute methodological guidance and epidemiological expertise across clinical development, RWE strategy, and regulatory affairs.

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience working with US claims, EHR, and other secondary RWD sources.

  • Proven ability to develop study protocols, analysis plans, and study reports.

  • Experience conducting both secondary database studies and primary data collection initiatives.

Preferred Experience

  • Background in chronic autoimmune inflammatory diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, atopic dermatitis, or asthma.

  • Experience with innovative RWE study designs, including synthetic control arms, external comparators, and hybrid RWD–clinical trial approaches.

  • Strong publication record demonstrating expertise in observational epidemiology.

  • Ability to operate independently in a matrixed environment and manage multiple priorities.

Experience Level Required

  • 4+ years post-doctoral experience (PhD route) or 7+ years applied epidemiology/RWE experience (Master’s route).

  • Hands-on expertise in epidemiological study design, RWD analytics, and observational methodology.

  • Demonstrated leadership in cross-functional environments and scientific communication.

  • Experience in inflammatory or autoimmune therapeutic areas strongly preferred.
