Job Summary:

Cognizant, a globally recognized leader in healthcare and life sciences services, is hiring a French Speaking Affiliate Pharmacovigilance Associate in Budapest. This exciting hybrid role is perfect for life sciences graduates looking to grow in the field of drug safety and pharmacovigilance. You will play a critical role in case handling, data entry, and quality checks of Individual Case Safety Reports (ICSRs) to ensure patient safety compliance across global markets.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive, download, and process safety information from various channels

  • Handle voice calls for safety report intake

  • Route safety information to relevant departments (e.g., Quality Assurance, Medical Information)

  • Monitor and triage mailbox and safety reports

  • Archive emails and update shared document folders

  • Enter data into front-end systems based on triage criteria

  • Conduct case validity checks and prevent duplicate reporting

  • Perform initial data discrepancy clarification and ensure data accuracy

  • Evaluate seriousness and clinical relevance of safety information

  • Translate and back-translate safety reports as needed

  • Extract data from Health Authority databases/registries

  • Complete documentation reviews for accuracy and completeness

  • Maintain adherence to SLAs and customer guidelines

  • Support training and mentorship of new team members

  • Collaborate with internal quality and operational teams to enhance processes

  • Complete all mandatory training and certifications on schedule


Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, or related field

  • Minimum 1 year of Pharmacovigilance or equivalent clinical experience

  • Proficiency in French and English (spoken and written)

  • Knowledge of pharmacovigilance processes, data handling, and case processing

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage complex data

  • Familiarity with pharmacovigilance databases and tools

  • Good understanding of ICH-GCP, GVP guidelines, and global PV regulations

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
