Role Overview:

Maximus is looking for a Freelance Content Writer with a deep understanding of scientific principles and a passion for men’s health topics. The ideal candidate will have experience writing editorial-style content, similar to what you would find in Men’s Health, GQ, or other prominent men’s lifestyle publications. A strong grasp of SEO best practices is essential to maximize our content's online visibility and engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

Content Creation:

Write engaging, scientifically accurate articles on a range of topics, including men's health, fitness, nutrition, mental well-being, and lifestyle.
Develop editorial content that aligns with the Maximus brand voice and resonates with our target audience.

Research:

Conduct in-depth research to ensure content is evidence-based and up-to-date with the latest scientific findings.
Simplify complex scientific concepts into clear, engaging narratives for a general audience.

SEO Optimization:

Implement SEO strategies to enhance content visibility, including keyword research and on-page optimization.
Collaborate with the marketing team to create content that drives organic traffic and boosts audience engagement.

Collaboration:

Work closely with the editorial and marketing teams to align content with company objectives and marketing campaigns.
Revise and refine content based on feedback to ensure the highest quality standards.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, English, Science, or a related field; advanced degrees are a plus.
4-5+ years of experience in science writing, journalism, or editorial roles, preferably with a focus on men’s health topics.
Strong understanding of scientific principles and the ability to communicate them clearly to a general audience.
Proven experience writing for men’s lifestyle publications or similar outlets.
Expertise in SEO best practices and tools, including keyword research and on-page optimization.
Excellent written communication skills with a keen eye for detail.
Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects with tight deadlines.
