Formulation Specialist – Oral Solid Dosage (OSD) | Hyderabad
Job Summary:
Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories is hiring a skilled Formulation Specialist to join their Formulation R&D - Oral Solid Dosage (OSD) team in Hyderabad. This critical role involves end-to-end development of oral solid and liquid dosage forms, ensuring robust and scalable product development in alignment with regulatory and quality standards. The specialist will coordinate cross-functionally, apply QbD principles, and contribute to differentiated formulations for emerging and domestic markets.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute strategies for Oral Solid/Liquid dosage forms per project timelines.
Plan and execute pilot & pivotal bio studies ensuring scalability and robustness.
Collaborate with Analytical, SCM, Process, COE Bio, Regulatory teams for smooth product development.
Conduct optimization trials and scale-up from lab to exhibit/commercial scale.
Prepare documentation for license applications, plant trials, and stage gate clearances.
Provide data analysis and interpretation from batch studies.
Ensure regulatory compliance through adherence to cGMP, cGLP, and ICH guidelines.
Coordinate deficiency responses and product filing support activities.
Document all processes in E-Lab notebooks and present updates to the delivery manager biweekly.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Education: Master’s or Ph.D. in Pharmacy.
Experience: 7–10 years in Oral Dosage Formulations.
Technical Skills:
Expertise in differentiated solid oral dosage forms, platform technologies, modified release pellets, and matrix formulations.
Hands-on experience with lab and plant-scale manufacturing equipment.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements for both regulated and semi-regulated markets.
Proficiency in ICH guidelines, cGMP, cGLP, and QbD principles.
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Behavioral Skills:
Excellent communication, presentation, and team coordination.
Strategic, result-oriented, and proactive problem-solving mindset.
Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.
