JOB DETAILS
The candidate will design and execute formulation development studies for drug products within the Process Sciences group. The role is critical for delivering suitable formulations in appropriate dosage forms (liquid/lyophilized) with desired physicochemical characteristics.
KEY DELIVERABLES
Technical Leadership: Lead DP formulation and lyophilization development/characterization.
Study Design: Selection of excipients for different dosage forms and stability studies.
Packaging & Compatibility: Selection of primary packaging containers and execution of compatibility studies.
Degradation Studies: Perform forced product degradation studies.
Unit Operations: Deep understanding of freeze/thaw, filtration, filling, and lyophilization.
Documentation: Authoring/reviewing technical reports and contributing to regulatory submissions and audits.
Collaboration: Working closely with clients and contributing to publications/IP.
EXPERIENCE
Technical expertise: Strong grasp of formulation studies and excipient selection.
Operational knowledge: Experience in freeze-thaw, filling, mixing, and container closure integrity testing.
Preferred: Cross-functional technical knowledge and excellent communication/interpersonal skills.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION
Masters or Ph.D. in Chemical/Biochemical Engineering or similar disciplines with 5+ years of work experience in drug product formulation development and manufacturing.
