Role Summary
The Director of Strategy and Innovation will lead strategic direction and innovation within the Global Medical Writing function, with a strong focus on AI and data-driven initiatives. The role is responsible for leveraging advanced technologies, data analytics, and collaborative partnerships to enhance business outcomes and streamline processes.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership: Define and implement strategic initiatives for the Global Medical Writing function, leveraging AI and data analytics.
Collaboration: Work extensively with internal stakeholders, external partners, and cross-functional units to ensure alignment with global business objectives.
Innovation & Impact: Drive innovation and influence organizational trajectory through data-driven insights, AI solutions, and advanced technology integration.
People Leadership: Mentor, guide, and inspire team members while fostering a culture of data literacy, AI adoption, and strategic innovation.
Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong collaborative relationships with Medical Writing leadership, RQS leadership, R&D Data & Digital IT teams, and external partners.
Change Management: Navigate complex challenges, aligning diverse stakeholders and leading adaptive transformation across the organization.
Qualifications & Experience
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (advanced degree preferred, e.g., MBA, PhD) with focus on data science, AI, or related disciplines.
Experience:
12+ years of professional experience in Pharma/Biotech/agency settings.
Direct experience in Medical Writing is preferred.
Proven track record in leading strategic innovation initiatives, particularly involving AI and data-driven projects.
Competencies:
Strong expertise in AI, machine learning, and data analytics.
Strategic thinking with the ability to integrate advanced technologies into business processes.
Change management and stakeholder engagement skills.
Leadership and mentoring capabilities within cross-functional teams.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
