Key Responsibilities

  • Digital Health Integration: Lead initiatives to introduce decentralized clinical trial elements, including virtual visits, home visits, and the use of digital health technologies (DHTs) to capture patient-generated data.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams including R&D, Medical Affairs, and Regulatory to design clinical studies that incorporate digital health technologies.
  • Clinical Protocols: Lead or contribute to clinical protocol writing, ensuring the integration of DHTs in new clinical trials and shepherding protocols through internal approval processes.
  • Vendor Evaluation & Qualification: Identify and evaluate vendors for decentralized trial services, ensuring they meet Amgen's rigorous qualification standards.
  • Patient Engagement & Recruitment: Develop innovative strategies for engaging patients and recruiting them into clinical trials, including utilizing online communities and digital tools.
  • Operational Excellence: Apply lessons learned to develop new Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for decentralized clinical trials.

Qualifications

  • Basic Qualifications:
    • Doctorate degree with 2 years of experience in digital health in the biopharmaceutical industry OR
    • Master’s degree with 4 years of experience in digital health in the biopharmaceutical industry OR
    • Bachelor’s degree with 6 years of experience in digital health in the biopharmaceutical industry OR
    • Associate’s degree with 10 years of experience in digital health in the biopharmaceutical industry OR
    • High school diploma/GED with 12 years of experience in digital health in the biopharmaceutical industry.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Extensive experience using digital elements in clinical trials.
    • Familiarity with digital health tools (e.g., mobile apps, wearables, telemedicine).
    • Proven track record of successfully leading digital health initiatives.
    • Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
    • Experience with data analytics, machine learning, and AI in healthcare.
