Job Overview
The Data Team Lead (DTL) manages end-to-end delivery of data management services for single or multi-service projects, ensuring high-quality deliverables on time and within budget. The role provides leadership, guidance, and technical expertise to the Data Management (DM) team while collaborating with internal stakeholders and sponsors.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management & Leadership
Lead data management projects from setup to close-out, ensuring quality deliverables.
Gather study setup requirements via communication with stakeholders.
Track project progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions.
Oversee implementation of new technology or database revisions with guidance.
Lead internal study meetings, sponsor audits, and kick-off meetings.
Support training of new team members.
Data Management & Quality
Oversee and perform data cleaning activities to ensure accurate and high-quality datasets.
Ensure all deliverables meet expected quality standards and customer expectations.
Provide review and expert input for core operating procedures and working instructions.
Collaborate closely with the programming team for process innovation and automation.
Compliance & Communication
Ensure compliance with trainings, eSOP reading, and regulatory requirements.
Maintain effective communication with Line Manager and cross-functional teams.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Line Manager.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Health, Clinical, Biological, or Mathematical Sciences, or a related field.
Experience
3–4 years of direct Data Management experience.
Minimum of 1 year as a CDM Project Lead preferred.
Skills
Fluency in spoken and written English
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and other office applications
Strong understanding of the drug development lifecycle and clinical research process
Excellent organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills
