Role Overview:
Takeda is seeking a talented Data Scientist to join its Innovation Capability Center (ICC) in Bengaluru, India. This role is a key part of Takeda’s global digital transformation initiative, focusing on Salesforce Data Cloud, Agentforce, and Generative AI platforms. You will develop innovative AI-powered solutions, optimize workflows, and enable data-driven decision-making across commercial and medical functions, contributing to better patient outcomes worldwide.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and deploy AI solutions using Salesforce Data Cloud, Agentforce (GENETIC AI), Einstein, and other AI frameworks.
Build and optimize generative AI applications leveraging LLMs (e.g., OpenAI GPT, LLaMA, Gemini) for domain-specific use cases.
Create effective prompts, fine-tune models, and integrate AI solutions into production environments.
Develop APIs, microservices, and end-to-end pipelines for AI solutions.
Act as the technical lead for agentic UI experiences for commercial and medical users, using React.js, HTML, CSS, and UI frameworks (Bootstrap, Material UI, Semantic UI).
Clarify technical requirements in backlog items and implement development tasks according to best practices.
Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, and engineers to define requirements and deliver AI-powered solutions.
Collect, clean, and preprocess datasets for model training and evaluation.
Conduct experiments with model architectures, hyperparameters, and training strategies to enhance AI performance.
Implement AI governance, bias detection, and responsible AI practices in compliance with ethical and regulatory standards.
Stay updated on advancements in generative AI, NLP, multimodal AI, and pharma-specific AI applications.
Provide guidance on reusability of AI features across business functions and suggest innovative solutions.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
3+ years of professional experience in UI/UX development, AI/ML, and data-driven solutions.
Strong proficiency in Salesforce Data Cloud and Agentforce platforms.
Hands-on experience with Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar ML frameworks.
Expertise in Large Language Models (LLMs), transformers, and generative AI architectures.
Knowledge of prompt engineering, fine-tuning techniques, and AI integration in enterprise environments.
Experience with APIs, REST, and microservice development.
Strong understanding of Agile development methods (Scrum, Kanban).
Excellent communication skills and business acumen, with experience in stakeholder management.
Familiarity with pharma industry requirements and AI application in healthcare preferred.
Ability to work in virtual, cross-cultural, and cross-functional teams.
