A leading global clinical research organization, ICON plc, is hiring a Data Quality Analyst to strengthen operational analytics, reporting governance, and performance oversight across clinical trial programs. This opportunity is ideal for professionals with pharma/CRO experience and expertise in data quality, reporting, and KPI management.

Job Overview

The Data Quality Analyst (Data & Reporting Analyst) will track, validate, analyze, and present operational metrics to ensure high-quality delivery of clinical trials. The role supports internal stakeholders, alliance sponsors, and senior leadership by converting complex datasets into actionable insights and identifying operational risks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Track and report operational metrics aligned with contractual and organizational timelines

  • Develop dashboards and performance tracking tools

  • Validate data accuracy and integrity before analysis

  • Interpret trends and identify business risks using analytical reasoning

  • Partner with Business Partners, Alliance VPs, and Directors to review analytics and provide subject matter expertise

  • Present findings to senior leadership

  • Support KPI development and governance initiatives

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve data quality issues

  • Provide reporting guidance and metrics training to internal teams

Experience Level: Mid-Level

Experience Required:

  • Approximately 3+ years of relevant experience in data analytics or data quality

  • Pharma, biotechnology, or CRO industry experience strongly preferred

  • Hands-on experience in data governance and resolving data quality issues

  • Experience working with cross-functional operational teams

Educational Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree required (Life Sciences, Clinical, Data Analytics, Statistics, or related field preferred)

  • Clinical background is an advantage

Required Skills

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency

  • Understanding of statistical concepts and data validation methods

  • Experience creating dashboards and KPI reports

  • Ability to translate complex data into clear business insights

  • Strong communication skills across senior and cross-functional stakeholders

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
