Job Overview
The Data Configuration Specialist is responsible for configuring and maintaining Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) databases throughout the lifecycle of clinical studies. The role ensures accurate system configuration aligned with clinical protocols, adherence to global quality procedures, and reliable electronic data delivery to clients according to defined data specifications.

This position requires strong attention to detail, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to manage study timelines while maintaining high-quality data standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Configure Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) databases throughout the study lifecycle in accordance with clinical protocols.

  • Perform quality control checks based on global procedures and agreed specifications.

  • Ensure accurate transfer of electronic data to customers in compliance with data specifications.

  • Set up study databases in alignment with client protocol requirements.

  • Configure study-specific parameters for central laboratory testing in clinical trials, including visit schedules, testing panels, and data flagging.

  • Collaborate with project management teams, laboratory personnel, IT teams, and clients to support study execution.

  • Monitor key study milestones and prioritize activities to meet project timelines.

  • Format databases according to specified data structures and reporting requirements.

  • Ensure LIMS and related systems are configured according to study priming documents.

  • Maintain complete, accurate, and version-controlled data study files.

  • Execute assigned tasks independently and communicate project status to relevant stakeholders.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related scientific, technical, or data management field.

  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience in LIMS configuration, clinical data management, or related areas.

  • Understanding of clinical trial processes and central laboratory operations is preferred.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficiency in written and spoken English; knowledge of additional languages is an advantage.
