JOB OVERVIEW

The Data Ambassador / Project Manager Lab is responsible for managing laboratory-related clinical research projects and acting as the primary point of contact between sponsors and ICON. The role involves overseeing multiple studies simultaneously, ensuring client satisfaction, coordinating project delivery, managing timelines, resolving issues, and maintaining compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Sponsor & Client Management

  • Act as the Sponsor’s primary point of contact for all laboratory-related project activities.

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships.

  • Ensure high levels of sponsor satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Handle day-to-day study management and communication.

• Project Management

  • Manage approximately 10–15 clinical studies simultaneously.

  • Oversee study timelines, deliverables, and milestones.

  • Coordinate project activities across multiple stakeholders.

  • Ensure projects are completed on schedule and within quality standards.

• Study Oversight

  • Monitor study progress and identify potential risks.

  • Ensure compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) requirements.

  • Maintain study documentation and project records.

  • Resolve operational challenges impacting study execution.

• Communication & Reporting

  • Attend and represent ICON during sponsor meetings.

  • Provide sponsors with regular study status updates.

  • Prepare management reports and project summaries.

  • Communicate study progress professionally and proactively.

• Laboratory Operations Support

  • Provide ICOLAB support to sponsor personnel.

  • Coordinate laboratory-related activities for assigned studies.

  • Ensure smooth integration between laboratory operations and clinical trial requirements.

  • Support data management and laboratory workflow processes.

• Risk Management & Problem Resolution

  • Identify issues affecting project delivery.

  • Develop and implement corrective actions.

  • Escalate critical issues when required.

  • Ensure timely resolution of operational challenges.

• Team Collaboration

  • Work closely with laboratory, clinical, data management, and project teams.

  • Support cross-functional collaboration.

  • Contribute to process improvements and operational excellence initiatives.

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s Degree in:

    • Life Sciences

    • Biotechnology

    • Pharmacy

    • Clinical Research

    • Healthcare

    • Related Scientific Discipline

EXPERIENCE

3–8 Years (Typical Requirement)

  • Experience in Project Management.

  • Experience in Clinical Research, CRO, Laboratory Operations, or Clinical Trials.

  • Experience managing multiple projects/studies simultaneously.

  • Experience interacting with sponsors and global stakeholders preferred.
