🎯 Role Purpose

The Lilly Bengaluru HEOR Consultant/Senior Consultant will:

  • Provide functional expertise and coordination across therapy area teams.

  • Collaborate with International HTA, Therapy Area HEOR teams, and Project Management to execute key deliverables.

  • Act as a subject matter expert (SME) in a therapeutic area or brand.

  • Support HEOR capability building and contribute to high-impact scientific communication.


🔑 Key Responsibilities

📄 Document Preparation & Management (40%)

  • Lead the planning, writing, editing, and review of HTA documents (e.g., reimbursement dossiers).

  • Ensure high standards of data accuracy and scientific quality.

  • Compile reviewer comments and revise documents accordingly.

  • Deliver therapeutic area expertise and manage multiple document types.

  • Ensure timely and efficient document development and communication.

📚 Knowledge & Skills Development (30%)

  • Maintain in-depth therapeutic area knowledge (disease state, drug development).

  • Advance knowledge of HEOR methodologies, including:

    • Real-world evidence (RWE)

    • Economic evaluations

    • Value messaging

    • PRO (Patient-Reported Outcomes) studies

  • Guide scientific strategy, data disclosure, and literature reviews.

  • Mentor team members and promote best practices across global teams.

  • Drive innovation in processes and scientific thinking.

🧭 Operational & Organizational Leadership (25%)

  • Ensure compliance with internal and external regulations.

  • Represent the Lilly Bengaluru HEOR team on cross-functional teams.

  • Lead and coach team members to deliver results aligned with organizational objectives.

  • Assess risks and implement timely solutions to project issues.

  • Promote team culture through recognition, diversity, and collaboration initiatives.

🌱 Capabilities Development & Stakeholder Engagement (5%)

  • Advocate for the HEOR function’s value within the broader organization.

  • Explore new capabilities and innovation opportunities.

  • Represent Lilly Bengaluru HEOR in leadership meetings (local and global).


🎓 Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • Educational Background:

    • Doctoral degree (PhD, DrPH, ScD, MD), or

    • Master’s degree / PharmD with strong experience in HEOR

  • Experience:

    • 7+ years of experience in health outcomes or health economics research

    • 3+ years of experience in project/portfolio management

  • Technical & Soft Skills:

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

    • Clear, concise written and verbal communication

    • Proven ability to translate complex scientific concepts

    • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills

    • Ability to collaborate across cultures, time zones, and functions


Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of US and global healthcare systems

  • Demonstrated ability to influence without authority

  • Experience working with international HTA bodies

  • Comfort working in a matrix and multicultural environment
