About the Role
A leading clinical technology and life sciences organization is hiring for the position of Configuration Specialist I in Pune. This opportunity is ideal for fresh graduates and early-career professionals looking to build a career in Clinical Technology, eTMF Operations, Technical Support, Clinical Systems Configuration, and Life Sciences IT Services.
The selected candidate will work within the eTMF Implementation and Service Desk team, supporting internal stakeholders and global clients through application configuration, study workspace setup, ticket resolution, and system validation activities.
This role offers excellent exposure to Electronic Trial Master File (eTMF) systems, Document Management Systems (DMS), clinical trial technologies, and global pharmaceutical operations.
Key Responsibilities
Configure application settings in Trial Interactive and related clinical systems as per project requirements
Provide end-user support through an online Service Desk ticketing platform
Analyze user requests and execute workspace creation, updates, and configuration changes
Perform quality checks (QC) and validation of system configurations following standard operating procedures
Troubleshoot access issues, workspace functionality concerns, and configuration-related queries
Coordinate with internal teams and clients to resolve technical and operational requests efficiently
Escalate critical issues, testing concerns, and configuration risks to relevant stakeholders
Accurately document communication and task updates within the Service Desk management tool
Support onboarding and configuration activities for client projects when required
Monitor project timelines and ensure timely delivery of high-quality configuration support
Assist in cross-functional activities including manual validation and mapping exercises
Stay updated with system enhancements, process changes, and application updates
Represent the eTMF Configuration Team as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) when required
Required Skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Good understanding of computer fundamentals, internet technologies, and web browsers
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail and quality-focused mindset
Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within teams
Educational Qualification
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Biotechnology, or related disciplines
Preferred Experience
Freshers with relevant technical knowledge are encouraged to apply
Candidates with 0–1 year of experience in IT Helpdesk, Technical Support, Service Desk, or Customer Support roles will be preferred
Basic understanding of eTMF, Shared Workspace (SWS), Document Management Systems (DMS), or Clinical Trial Technologies is an added advantage
Prior exposure to Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, CRO, or Life Sciences industries is beneficial
