Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Medical Coder to manage day-to-day coding of patient charts and diagnosis reports. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of medical coding standards, including ICD-9, ICD-10, and CPT, and be proficient in RCM processes, healthcare management, and billing compliance.


Key Responsibilities

  • Code or audit patient charts and diagnosis reports based on client requirements.

  • Update and clear production and pending reports to maintain workflow efficiency.

  • Collaborate closely with team leaders to resolve issues and ensure quality standards.

  • Review client emails and instructions, apply updates during production.

  • Identify coding or process issues and escalate to immediate supervisors as needed.

  • Maintain strict adherence to company policies, procedures, and regulatory compliance.

  • Prepare and maintain accurate reports to track productivity and output.


Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of medical coding standards and healthcare processes.

  • Proficiency in RCM operations, medical billing, and EMR systems.

  • Understanding of HIPAA compliance and healthcare regulatory guidelines.

  • Ability to meet daily and monthly productivity targets.

  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.

  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and reporting capabilities.


Experience & Qualifications

  • Education: Any Bachelor’s degree (preferred in life sciences, healthcare, or related field).

  • Experience: 6 months to 3 years in medical coding, auditing, or RCM processes.

  • Exposure to coding for hospitals, clinics, or healthcare providers is a plus.
