Role Overview

The Clinical Trial Manager (CTM) will play a critical role in the planning, coordination, and execution of Phase I clinical research studies, ensuring delivery against timelines, quality standards, regulatory requirements, and budget commitments.

This position involves close collaboration with principal investigators, clinical operations teams, sponsors, and cross-functional stakeholders, acting as a key liaison to drive operational excellence and study success.

The role is based in Hyderabad (Madhapur) and is ideal for professionals with strong clinical operations experience and a passion for advancing clinical research.


Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the end-to-end management of Phase I clinical trials, from study start-up through close-out

  • Coordinate closely with principal investigators, sponsors, and internal clinical teams

  • Act as a liaison between research participants, investigators, sponsors, and clinic operations teams

  • Develop and manage study timelines, milestones, deliverables, and resource utilization

  • Monitor study progress to ensure alignment with project plans, client expectations, and budgets

  • Ensure global and regional regulatory compliance, including GCP and applicable local regulations

  • Identify risks, implement mitigation strategies, and proactively resolve operational challenges

  • Maintain accurate documentation and reporting in accordance with SOPs and regulatory standards

  • Support process improvement initiatives and contribute to best practices in clinical trial execution

  • May provide oversight or guidance to junior team members or support limited people management responsibilities


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Medicine, or a related scientific discipline

  • Advanced degree or relevant clinical research certification is preferred


Experience, Knowledge & Skills

  • 6–10 years of experience in Clinical Trial Management or Clinical Operations, with strong exposure to Phase I studies

  • Proven ability to manage clinical trial timelines, budgets, and cross-functional teams

  • In-depth knowledge of ICH-GCP guidelines, regulatory requirements, and clinical research standards

  • Experience working in global or regional clinical development environments

  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with sponsors and internal stakeholders

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, matrixed, and evolving environment

  • Demonstrated initiative, accountability, and attention to detail
