🌟 Role Highlights

  • Onsite, full-time role at Phase I Clinical Research Unit

  • Support healthy volunteers through medical oversight

  • M-F schedule: 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM (variable during enrollment periods)

  • Call rotation: 1:5 (every fifth weekend, work from home/come in as needed)

  • Participate in IRB/IEC meetings, study protocols, and client visits

  • Conduct pre-, on-, and post-study exams

  • May serve as Sub-Investigator or Principal Investigator

🩺 Key Responsibilities

  • Provide onsite medical coverage for healthy volunteers

  • Ensure participant safety and compliance with study protocols

  • Collaborate with clinical teams, regulatory bodies, and trial participants

  • Conduct exams and monitor participant health throughout studies

  • Support study documentation and regulatory compliance

  • Undertake additional duties as assigned


🎓 Qualifications

Education & Licensing:

  • MD or DO with active WI medical license + DEA

  • CPR/ACLS certification required

Experience:

  • 2+ years clinical experience (Family Medicine or Primary Care preferred)

  • Experience in clinical trials is a plus

  • Demonstrated commitment to research, safety, and patient-centered care

Language Skills:

  • Fluent in English (speaking, writing, reading)

Fortrea may consider relevant and equivalent experience in lieu of formal educational requirements.


Work Environment

  • Work performed in laboratory and/or clinical environment

  • Exposure to electrical office equipment and biological fluids

  • Occasional travel to sites (domestic)

  • PPE required (protective eyewear, garments, gloves)


🏋️ Physical Requirements

  • Upright/stationary work for 6-8 hours/day

  • Repetitive hand movements to operate lab equipment

  • Occasional crouching, stooping, bending, twisting of upper body/neck

  • Ability to use various computer software

  • Light to moderate lifting (up to 15-20 lbs)

  • Regular, consistent attendance with varied hours as required
