Clinical Research Associate II – Oncology & General Medicine (Remote – Western US)

Job Summary:
Syneos Health is hiring a Clinical Research Associate II (CRA II) to support oncology and general medicine studies in a remote, home-based capacity within the Western US. Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform on-site and remote monitoring (initiation, qualification, interim, close-out visits) in compliance with ICH-GCP and regulatory standards

  • Evaluate site performance, identify protocol deviations, and escalate critical issues with mitigation plans

  • Ensure proper informed consent and protect patient confidentiality

  • Review source documents, verify case report form (CRF) data accuracy, and support query resolution

  • Monitor investigational product (IP) inventory, storage, reconciliation, and administration compliance

  • Maintain Investigator Site Files and Trial Master Files for regulatory accuracy

  • Support subject recruitment, retention strategies, and audit readiness

  • Liaise with sponsor, site teams, and internal stakeholders; represent CRA function in investigator meetings

  • Manage documentation including confirmation letters, trip reports, and follow-up communication


Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in life sciences or equivalent (e.g., RN)

  • Minimum 2+ years’ experience as a CRA, preferably in oncology or general medicine

  • Sound knowledge of ICH-GCP guidelines and clinical trial regulations

  • Proficient with clinical trial software, electronic data capture (EDC) systems, and remote monitoring tools

  • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to travel up to 75% as per project requirements

  • Real-World Late Phase experience is a plus (chart abstraction, collaboration with MSLs, site support)
