🌟 Role Overview

Fortrea is seeking a visionary Clinical Neurology Leader (MD) to drive innovation, shape strategy, and elevate the neurology portfolio. This is a remote US-based role with leadership and strategic responsibilities across global clinical trials.


🏆 Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the Clinical Development (CD) Team, a cross-functional, multinational team, for Phase II–III neurology trials through global product registration.

  • Serve as primary medical expert for neurology programs, guiding protocol design, regulatory interactions, and scientific engagement.

  • Conduct ongoing risk-benefit assessments of compounds until approval in primary countries.

  • Analyze incoming clinical data and scientific information to initiate appropriate actions or decisions.

  • Mentor and inspire a team of medical directors and scientific staff across global regions.

  • Communicate medical project strategy, study results, and clinical project updates to internal and external stakeholders (regulatory authorities, advisory boards).

  • Represent Fortrea at industry conferences, advisory boards, and regulatory meetings.

  • Undertake other duties as required.


🎓 Qualifications

Education & Licensure:

  • MD with board certification in neurology or extensive clinical experience in CNS disorders

Experience:

  • Minimum 7 years in neurology therapeutic area with substantial drug development and clinical research experience in pharmaceutical/CRO settings

  • 3+ years overseeing neurodegenerative disease-focused investigational medicine programs

  • Experience with registration trials and MAA/NDA submissions preferred

  • Proven leadership in clinical development and strategic oversight of clinical trials

Skills & Competencies:

  • Deep understanding of neurology drug development, trial design, and regulatory pathways

  • Strong strategic thinking, scientific rigor, and collaborative spirit


🏢 Work Environment

  • Primarily office-based (remote) with exposure to electrical office equipment

  • Occasional domestic and international travel to site locations


Physical Requirements

  • Stationary for 6–8 hours/day

  • Repetitive hand movements for computer/lab equipment use

  • Occasional crouching, stooping, bending, twisting of upper body/neck

  • Ability to use variety of software tools

  • Light to moderate lifting (15–20 lbs)

  • Regular attendance with varied hours as needed

💰 Compensation

  • Pay Range: USD $250,000–$300,000
