Position Summary

Medpace is seeking an experienced Clinical Line Manager – CRA to lead its Clinical Monitoring team in Navi Mumbai, India. As the sole CRA Manager in India, this role offers a unique opportunity to build, develop, and lead a high-performing team while working closely with the Senior Director of Clinical Monitoring. The position is ideal for an experienced Clinical Research Associate (CRA) ready to transition into line management or an existing line manager looking to advance their career.


Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & People Management

  • Lead and line-manage a team of Clinical Research Associates (CRAs).

  • Recruit, onboard, train, mentor, and develop CRAs.

  • Conduct regular one-on-one coaching sessions and provide constructive performance feedback.

  • Foster employee engagement, motivation, and retention.

Clinical Monitoring Oversight

  • Guide and support CRAs in executing core monitoring responsibilities.

  • Ensure monitoring activities are conducted in compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) standards.

  • Monitor performance and ensure quality delivery across assigned studies.

Resource & Operational Management

  • Manage CRA workload, resource allocation, and assignment planning.

  • Support workforce planning and utilization strategies.

  • Collaborate with regional and local operational teams to achieve organizational objectives.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with internal stakeholders across departments.

  • Support strategic initiatives and operational excellence within Clinical Monitoring.


Required Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Life Sciences or a related discipline.

Experience

  • Current line manager with 1–2 years of people management experience; or

  • Experienced CRA with at least 4 years of clinical monitoring experience seeking a transition into line management.

  • Experience working within a global Contract Research Organization (CRO) environment is preferred.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong leadership, coaching, mentoring, and motivational abilities.

  • Advanced knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP).

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management capabilities.

  • Passion for team development and people leadership.

Travel Requirements

  • Willingness to travel approximately 10% for onsite CRA evaluations and team support.
