Job Overview:
Responsible for producing efficient, high-quality databases that meet customer requirements. Supports creation of test plans, validation processes, and may act as Validation Team Lead. May also take on leadership responsibilities under manager supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
Validation & Testing Activities:
Independently conduct testing to validate edit checks, SAS listings, transfer programs, and custom reports on platforms like Inform, RAVE, OCRDC, and Oracle Clinical
Perform eCRF and Time & Events QC based on checklists
Provide support in creation of test cases and documentation for validation projects
May take full responsibility for delivery of a validation project
Documentation & Compliance:
Understand and update all required documentation for validation in a timely manner
Monitor documentation compliance, especially for junior team members
Ensure validation processes and best practices are followed strictly
Maintain and review documents in eDMSF
Leadership & Communication:
Support Validation Team Lead in project management and task allocation
Mentor junior analysts in validation activities
Actively contribute to process improvement initiatives and lessons learned sessions
Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) when required
Communicate effectively with team leads, managers, and programmers
Quality & Continuous Improvement:
Conduct quality reviews of testing projects
Identify and suggest areas for continuous process improvement
Participate in knowledge-sharing sessions and metrics reporting
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Technology (Required)
Experience:
2–4 years of clinical database testing experience on CDMS platforms
4+ years total relevant experience (Required)
Key Skills:
Clinical data validation and testing
CDMS platforms (e.g., RAVE, Inform, OCRDC, Oracle Clinical)
Test case development and QC review
Documentation compliance and SOP adherence
Communication, mentoring, and leadership
Attention to detail and process improvement
