About the Role:

Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. is looking for an experienced Clinical Data Team Lead (CDTL) to manage world-class data management projects that drive scientific research. As the CDTL, you will oversee data management activities for studies of limited volume or complexity and ensure flawless execution, all while maintaining adherence to project protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Data Management: Oversee data management for studies of limited complexity, with support from senior team members.
  • Client and Interdepartmental Communication: Act as the primary point of contact between the Project Lead, clients, and the data management team to ensure smooth study execution.
  • Project Documentation: Develop and maintain documentation, review deliverables, and ensure compliance with company guidelines.
  • Study-Specific Training: Deliver training for project staff and produce regular status reports.
  • Business Development Support: Assist with bid preparation and represent data management in bid defense meetings.
  • Project Forecasting: Identify resource requirements, present out-of-scope activities, and provide input for project planning and forecasting.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor junior staff and provide administrative and financial management support for allocated projects.

Education and Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent formal academic qualification.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2+ years of experience in data management or a related field.
  • Relevant Qualifications: A combination of education, training, and experience may be considered sufficient.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in interactive computer programs.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with excellent command of the English language.
  • Organizational Skills: Outstanding organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail.
  • Leadership: Ability to train, lead study teams, manage timelines, and adjust schedules as necessary.
  • Customer Focus: Strong customer orientation and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Confidentiality: Ability to maintain confidentiality and adapt in changing environments.
