Job Summary:
We are seeking a Clinical Data Specialist to join our Clinical Data Management (CDM) team, where you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality data management products that align with customer requirements. You will provide essential data management expertise, including taking on leadership tasks under the guidance of the Data Operations Coordinator (DOC), Data Team Lead (DTL), or Functional Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the Data Operations Coordinator (DOC) for a protocol with fewer than 5 operational staff or manage up to 15 moderately complex central laboratory studies. You may also lead a specific task within data management, such as coding, testing, or database design with minimal programming expertise required.
  • Support the DOC or DTL role as a backup when necessary.
  • Conduct comprehensive data reviews and clarify any inconsistencies.
  • Lead the database audit team to ensure data integrity.
  • Contribute to the development, testing, and editing of databases and specifications.
  • Handle clinical data coding and ensure adherence to operating procedures and instructions.
  • Foster excellent communication and collaboration with the CDM team to meet key objectives.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Clinical, Biological, Mathematical Sciences, or a related field. Equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience may be considered.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to independently resolve issues.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, managers, and clients.
