Job Description

IQVIA is seeking a Clinical Data Specialist to join their team in Kochi. The role involves providing basic and comprehensive data management expertise to the Clinical Data Management (CDM) team to ensure efficient and high-quality data management products that meet customer needs. The specialist may also undertake team leadership activities under the supervision of the Data Operations Coordinator (DOC), Data Team Lead (DTL), or Functional Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Operations Coordinator (DOC): Serve as a DOC for one protocol with fewer than five operations staff or 15+ easy to moderately complex central laboratory studies.

  • Leadership: Take on leadership responsibilities in specific data management tasks, such as coding, testing, or database design, with guidance.

  • Data Review: Conduct data reviews and resolve data clarifications.

  • Database Management: Lead database audit teams, develop, and test databases and edit specifications.

  • Programming Testing: Perform testing of programming and clinical data coding.

  • Compliance: Understand and comply with core operating procedures and working instructions.

  • Communication: Develop and maintain good communications and working relationships with the CDM team, coworkers, managers, and clients.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Clinical, Biological, or Mathematical Sciences, or a related field. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may also be considered.

  • Experience: Exposure to medical terminology and clinical data management.

  • Skills:

    • Excellent organizational, communication, leadership, and computer skills.

    • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently.

    • Ability to resolve problems proactively and establish effective working relationships with coworkers, managers, and clients.
