Job Summary:

ICON plc is hiring a Clinical Data Lead for its Bangalore office. This role is critical in managing the complete participant data journey across global clinical trials. The ideal candidate will collaborate with CROs, vendors, and internal stakeholders to manage and optimize data ingestion, transformation, and analytics using modern digital tools and platforms. This role requires strong experience in EDC, non-CRF, and eSource data flow management.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and map participant data sources and their flow across clinical systems

  • Oversee technical data ingestion from CROs and vendors

  • Develop and maintain data transfer specifications

  • Perform data reconciliation and support risk-based approaches

  • Ensure data integrity and compliance for digital and eSource data

  • Evaluate vendor capabilities and ensure quality of data integration

  • Manage data harmonization and transformation for advanced analytics

  • Contribute to digital initiatives such as workflow optimization and protocol tokenization

  • Maintain adherence to data governance and regulatory standards


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field

  • 4–7+ years of clinical data acquisition experience in the biopharma or CRO sector

  • Strong experience with clinical data sets, EDC, and non-CRF data

  • Familiarity with Big Data technologies and Lakehouse platforms

  • Experience with eSource, digital health, or decentralized clinical trial technologies

  • Strong analytical skills for handling complex data sets

  • Proven collaboration skills across technical and clinical teams
