Job Overview

Medpace, a global full-service Clinical Research Organization (CRO), is seeking a Clinical Data Coder to join its growing Clinical Coding & Support team in Navi Mumbai, India. This is an excellent opportunity for professionals with a clinical background who are looking to build a long-term career in clinical data management and medical coding within a global clinical trials environment.

As a Clinical Data Coder, you will play a critical role in ensuring accurate and standardized coding of medical terms and medications, directly supporting the success of global Phase I–IV clinical trials.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform accurate and consistent coding of medical terms, adverse events, and medications using industry-standard and company-approved dictionaries.

  • Utilize coding standards such as MedDRA and WHO Drug Dictionary to support clinical trial data integrity.

  • Coordinate and assign appropriate dictionaries in alignment with individual study requirements.

  • Develop, maintain, and update clinical coding guidelines and documentation.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional clinical data management and study teams to ensure high-quality data deliverables.


Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or a higher/advanced clinical degree (preferred).

  • Experience Required: 1–3 years of experience in clinical data coding, clinical data management, or a related role within the pharmaceutical or clinical research industry.

  • Hands-on experience using MedDRA and WHO Drug dictionaries is required.

  • Prior experience working on clinical trials or within a CRO/pharmaceutical environment is strongly preferred.

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to work accurately in a regulated environment.
