Job Overview

Fortrea is seeking motivated Clinical Call Center Representatives (On-Call) to support recruitment activities for Phase I clinical trials involving healthy volunteers. This role plays a critical part in engaging potential participants, providing accurate study information, and coordinating screening appointments for clinical research studies conducted at the Dallas Clinical Research Unit.

Multiple work arrangements are available, including on-call, part-time, and full-time options.

Mandatory Training:

  • On-site training at the Dallas clinic

  • Duration: 4 weeks

  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM CDT


Key Responsibilities

  • Handle inbound and outbound calls related to clinical study participation

  • Respond to public inquiries regarding Phase I clinical trials

  • Conduct scripted phone screenings to assess participant eligibility

  • Accurately collect and enter medical history and demographic data into electronic systems

  • Clearly communicate study requirements, procedures, and expectations to potential participants

  • Schedule and confirm screening appointments for qualified candidates

  • Coordinate with the screening department to ensure complete and accurate recruitment documentation

  • Respond to participant inquiries received through the Fortrea CRU email account

  • Identify opportunities for recruitment and process improvements

  • Perform additional administrative and clinical support tasks as assigned


Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (USA)

  • Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills

  • Basic understanding of medical terminology is preferred


Experience Requirements

  • 1–2 years of experience in customer service or call center operations

  • Prior experience in healthcare, clinical research, or medical call centers is an advantage

  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is a plus

  • Excellent phone etiquette and professional communication skills

  • Strong data entry and computer proficiency

  • Ability to work accurately in a regulated environment

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting


Work Schedule & Environment

  • Flexible scheduling required, including evenings and weekends

  • Primarily sedentary role with extended periods of sitting

  • On-site work environment with standard office and computer equipment
