Job Summary

The Clinical Annotation Specialist will annotate and validate clinical data to support the development of AI products in healthcare. This role requires collaboration with AI Scientists and Engineers to ensure high-quality, accurate, and consistent data labeling.


Key Responsibilities

  • Annotate clinical data including medical records, lab reports, imaging reports, medication information, and other healthcare documents.

  • Review and validate annotated data to maintain high-quality standards.

  • Collaborate with AI Scientists and Engineers to ensure accurate and consistent data labeling.

  • Assist in the development of annotation guidelines and protocols.

  • Participate in team meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and updates.

  • Analyze large amounts of data and apply understanding to various clinical scenarios including:

    • Clinical decision support

    • Patient care

    • Clinical trials and research

    • Quality improvement


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Medicines, Biomedical, or Biotechnology (Master’s preferred; MD equivalent preferred).

  • Minimum 3 years of practical medical experience.

  • Strong understanding of medical terminology and clinical practices.

  • Ability to analyze complex clinical data accurately.

  • Excellent attention to detail and high accuracy in work.

  • Strong communication skills; able to work collaboratively in a team.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines, and prioritizing workload based on business needs.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in clinical annotation or similar roles.

  • Familiarity with data annotation tools and software.

  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and healthcare data standards.

  • Ability to adapt to new technologies and tools quickly.

  • Familiarity with AI and machine learning concepts is a plus.
