About the Role

IQVIA, a global leader in clinical research services, healthcare intelligence, and commercial insights, is seeking a Clinical Data Specialist to join our India team. This role is integral to ensuring the quality, accuracy, and completeness of clinical trial data, enabling life sciences organizations to accelerate drug development and improve patient outcomes worldwide.

The Clinical Data Specialist will work in a hybrid environment, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including clinical operations, medical monitors, and data management, to ensure timely and compliant data processing for clinical trials.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage, review, and validate clinical trial data to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with study protocols.

  • Resolve data queries and discrepancies efficiently, exercising independent judgment and problem-solving skills.

  • Maintain and update databases, ensuring timely entry and tracking of clinical trial data.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support study execution, reporting, and documentation.

  • Ensure adherence to regulatory guidelines, including ICH-GCP standards and internal SOPs.

  • Utilize medical terminology to accurately interpret clinical trial data.

  • Provide input on process improvements and contribute to training of junior team members.

  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, managers, and clients.


Experience Required

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Clinical, Biological, or Mathematical Sciences, or a related field. Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will also be considered.

  • Professional Experience: Minimum 2 years in clinical data management, clinical research, or related healthcare roles.

  • Skills & Competencies:

    • Strong knowledge of medical terminology.

    • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.

    • High attention to detail and accuracy.

    • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and solve problems proactively.

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and clinical data management systems.
