Job Overview

We are seeking experienced Client Partners / Senior Client Partners – Pathology Coding to join our Pune team. This role is ideal for medical coding professionals with expertise in pathology coding for both outpatient and inpatient records, who are focused on accuracy, compliance, and revenue integrity within healthcare revenue cycle management (RCM).

As a Client Partner in Pathology Coding, you will ensure accurate coding of pathology services, conduct audits, support process improvement initiatives, and collaborate with clients to meet critical KPIs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately assign diagnosis and CPT codes according to ICD-10 and CPT-4 coding standards

  • Perform coding and auditing for outpatient and inpatient pathology records with minimum 96% accuracy and adherence to turnaround times

  • Apply in-depth knowledge of pathology coding procedures and standards

  • Meet or exceed productivity standards for medical coding as per specialty-specific norms

  • Participate in continuous improvement projects to prevent revenue leakage while maintaining compliance

  • Stay updated on coding knowledge, accuracy, and industry changes through team meetings, educational sessions, and conferences

  • Maintain a high degree of professional and ethical standards

Experience Required

  • 2 to 4 years of experience in medical coding for pathology or surgical specialties

  • Experience in medical coding, physician education, or auditing is preferred

  • Exposure to coding in ambulatory and inpatient settings

Education & Certification

  • Graduate in Life Sciences or related discipline

  • Proficiency in CPT-4, ICD-9, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding

  • Current coding certification with valid proof required

  • CCS, CPC, CPC-H, CIC, or COC certification from AAPC or AHIMA is an added advantage

  • Strong knowledge of medical coding and billing systems, auditing principles, and regulatory requirements
