Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Clinical Data Team Lead to oversee and manage clinical data management activities across one or more clinical studies.

The role acts as the lead data manager or supports senior leadership in ensuring high-quality, compliant, and timely delivery of clinical data. The position also serves as a key liaison between internal teams, project leadership, and external clients.


Key Responsibilities

Study Leadership & Data Management Oversight

  • Act as lead data manager or support lead data management activities for assigned studies.

  • Apply protocol requirements to daily data management tasks and guide team members.

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines, SOPs, and client expectations.

Client & Stakeholder Communication

  • Act as liaison between data management team, project leads, and clients.

  • Communicate updates and issues related to study data management activities.

  • Participate in client interactions and project discussions as required.

Study Documentation & Reporting

  • Develop and maintain data management project documentation files.

  • Review data management deliverables for quality and compliance.

  • Generate regular study status reports and monitor key study metrics.

Team Leadership & Training

  • Develop and deliver study-specific training for data management team members.

  • Mentor junior staff and provide guidance on study-related tasks.

  • Support team productivity and ensure adherence to timelines and quality standards.

Project Planning & Financial Support

  • Assist in forecasting project hours and resource requirements.

  • Identify potential out-of-scope activities and escalate to project leadership.

  • Support contract modifications and project financial management activities.

Business Development Support (if required)

  • Assist in bid preparation activities.

  • Represent data management in bid defense meetings when needed.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline.

  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in Clinical Data Management or related field.

  • Experience working with clinical data systems and databases.

  • Ability to apply regulatory guidelines and SOPs in daily work.
