Position Overview

Amgen is expanding its global Biostatistics capabilities, with Amgen India playing a critical role in integrated delivery and functional leadership. The Biostatistics Manager will provide technical expertise and leadership in the execution of statistical deliverables for clinical studies, data visualization solutions, and regulatory submissions.

Key Responsibilities

Statistical Leadership

  • Lead and oversee the application of biostatistical methods to analyze and interpret clinical trial data.

  • Ensure scientific rigor, consistency, and accuracy across studies and programs.

  • Provide technical expertise in clinical development statistical analyses.

Programming & Data Visualization

  • Provide strategic direction for statistical programming using R and Python.

  • Develop scalable and compliant reporting solutions.

  • Create and maintain interactive dashboards and visualization tools, including R Shiny applications.

Clinical Reporting

  • Review and manage Tables, Listings, and Figures (TLFs).

  • Support Clinical Study Reports, publications, and regulatory submissions.

  • Ensure timely delivery of statistical outputs.

Regulatory Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards, including CDISC SDTM and ADaM.

  • Support audits, inspections, and quality reviews.

  • Contribute to SOP and policy maintenance activities.

Innovation & Automation

  • Implement process improvements and innovative technologies.

  • Develop AI-enabled solutions and automated reporting pipelines.

  • Stay updated on emerging methodologies and regulatory guidelines.

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Mentor statisticians and programmers.

  • Collaborate with global cross-functional teams.

  • Manage resources and project priorities effectively.

Required Qualifications

Education:

  • MSc or PhD in Statistics, Biostatistics, or a related field.

Experience:

  • Minimum 8 years of relevant industry experience.

  • Proven experience applying statistical methods in clinical development.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong programming skills in R and/or Python.

  • Experience with R Shiny or other interactive reporting tools.
