Job Description:

Overview:

Join IQVIA Laboratories in Indianapolis, IN as an Associate Scientist supporting sample analysis, method development, and validation through various technical procedures and experiments.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform and document analytical procedures per company and regulatory guidelines

  • Complete and prepare documentation to ensure regulatory and corporate compliance

  • Contribute to design and execution of routine methods/assays under moderate supervision

  • Participate in technical discussions, experimental design, data review, and sponsor inquiries

  • Assist in troubleshooting and process improvements to enhance data quality, reduce costs, and turnaround time

  • Lead laboratory or cross-functional projects and support implementation efforts

  • Act as a technical resource for lab staff within area of expertise

  • Identify and escalate abnormal test progress or potential quality concerns promptly

  • Prepare buffers and solutions and ensure equipment calibration and maintenance


Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, or related field; or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Basic knowledge of method development and analytical techniques relevant to technical area

  • Understanding of sample handling, preparation, and drug development processes

  • Working knowledge of regulatory agency standards applicable to role

  • Proficiency in data analysis techniques and calculations

  • Knowledge of laboratory safety, infection control, and hazardous chemical handling

  • Strong technical expertise and troubleshooting ability with laboratory equipment

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

  • Frequent standing and walking; occasional sitting

  • Close eye work (computer use, reading small print)

  • Occasional exposure to cold temperatures
