Key Result Areas

The Associate will be responsible for ensuring the proper handling, storage, and dispensing of raw materials, packing materials, and general consumables in the warehouse. This role involves strict adherence to procedural systems, cGMP, and EHSS standards to ensure smooth warehouse operations.

Primary Responsibilities

Material Handling & Storage

Ensure proper labeling, storage, and handling of raw materials, packing materials, and consumables.
Maintain temperature monitoring for storage areas and deep freezers.
Organize materials according to material zoning specifications.
Inspect raw and packing materials for quality and segregate them into Quarantine, Approved, or Rejected categories based on inspection results.
Ensure materials are stored according to recommended storage conditions.

Dispensing & Issuance of Materials

Dispense raw and packing materials on requests from departments such as Production, R&D, and others as per approved procedures.
Ensure proper pre-arrangements are made before dispensing.
Complete line clearance from QA before dispensing materials.
Issue materials as per SOPs and maintain accurate dispensed material accountability in SAP.
Account for different quantities at the end of a consignment.

Documentation & Record Keeping

Maintain proper documentation for all material handling activities as per warehouse procedures.
Record dispensing activity online, ensuring full data transparency and integrity.
Maintain weighing balance verification and calibration records on a daily basis.
Ensure that stock posting in SAP is up-to-date, including physical verification and stock reconciliation.

Safety & Compliance

Handle solvents, acids, and hazardous materials following all safety measures and EHSS policies.
Ensure adherence to cGMP, data integrity, and organizational transparency.
Follow all safety precautions and ensure compliance with EHSS guidelines at all times.

Training & Development

Impart training to material handling personnel to ensure smooth operations and compliance with safety and procedural standards.
Review dispensing activity records to maintain accuracy and compliance.

Area Discipline & Cleanliness

Ensure cleanliness and discipline within the warehouse area as per SOPs.
Report any deviations or discrepancies in procedures to superiors and the reporting head.

Other Responsibilities

Perform any additional activities as assigned by the Head of Department (HOD).

Educational Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., B.Sc./B.Pharm or equivalent).

Technical/Functional Skills

Knowledge of material handling, dispensing procedures, and warehouse management systems.
Proficiency in SAP for stock posting and material management.
Strong understanding of safety protocols, cGMP, and EHSS policies.

Behavioral Skills

Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of accuracy.
Good communication skills to report activities and ensure team coordination.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining operational standards.
Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
