Key Responsibilities:

  • Cost Savings Initiatives:

    • Create and develop cost-saving strategies that deliver measurable results for clients.

    • Provide updates to clients on the progress of initiatives and cost savings.

  • Concept Development & Research:

    • Conduct analytical and experimental work to support the development of new concepts.

    • Lead and manage payment integrity initiatives from conception to execution.

  • Collaboration & Influence:

    • Establish strong relationships with internal stakeholders to align on objectives and deliver payment integrity solutions.

    • Influence senior leadership in adopting new approaches and product developments.

  • Subject Matter Expertise:

    • Serve as a thought leader on medical claims, pricing, trends, and cost management in the lab and genetics sector.


Required Qualifications:

  • Experience:

    • 4+ years auditing, billing, and/or coding claims in the Molecular/Genetic area.

    • 4+ years of experience in the healthcare industry (Medicare, Medicaid, Commercial) with a focus on Payment Integrity or Revenue Integrity.

    • 3+ years of experience in highly collaborative, consultative roles with strong ability to establish credibility across multiple levels of management.

  • Research & Analysis:

    • 2+ years of experience performing research and analyzing claims data to identify trends.

  • Project Management:

    • Proven experience in managing projects and meeting tight deadlines.

  • Knowledge:

    • In-depth knowledge of CMS rules, regulations, and billing codes related to claims.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Education:

    • Undergraduate Degree or advanced degree in healthcare or medical field.

  • Certification:

    • Coding certification through AAPC or AHIMA.

  • Experience:

    • 3+ years of claims adjudication or revenue cycle management.

    • 2+ years working in a matrixed, adaptive environment with tight deadlines.

    • Experience in a Laboratory and/or Genetics setting is preferred.

  • Technical Skills:

    • Proficiency in SQL, SAS, Excel (Pivot Tables, Advanced Formulas, Macros), Visio, PowerPoint, Tableau.

  • Skills:

    • Strong project management, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.

    • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.


Compensation:

  • Salary Range: $106,800 to $194,200 annually, based on factors such as experience, education, certifications, and local labor markets.
