Position Summary:

As an MSL Associate Director specializing in Hematologic Malignancies and Theragnostic/Radioligand Therapies, you will be a key field-based scientific expert supporting engagement with oncology thought leaders, community and academic experts, and clinical researchers. You will contribute to Lilly's scientific strategy by facilitating critical scientific exchanges and delivering high-value insights to shape research and development.


Primary Responsibilities:

Scientific Engagement (70–80% of time):

  • Build strong, long-term relationships with external Scientific Experts (SEs), including educators, clinicians, and researchers.

  • Communicate complex and advanced scientific information related to hematologic malignancies and radioligand therapies.

  • Respond to unsolicited requests with evidence-based information and resources.

  • Facilitate collaborations and connect SEs with Lilly teams (e.g., Discovery Scientists, Clinical Development, Outcomes Research).

Scientific Expertise:

  • Maintain deep therapeutic expertise in hematology and radioligand/theragnostics through ongoing education, congress attendance, and literature review.

  • Share insights with cross-functional teams to inform medical affairs and clinical development strategies.

  • Participate in internal peer discussions and knowledge sharing across the MSL team.

Administrative & Compliance Excellence:

  • Accurately document field activities and insights using tools like Veeva, SharePoint, PubMed, and Microsoft Office.

  • Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, and procedural guidelines.

  • Manage expense reports and logistical coordination for travel and engagements.


Territory:

Southern California – Ideal candidate resides near a major airport and is able to travel overnight up to 60%, including 4 to 6 weekends annually.


Basic Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree (PharmD, MD, PhD) with 2–3 years of relevant experience in a clinical or medical setting.

  • OR Bachelor’s/Master’s in health sciences (e.g., RN, RPh, PA, NP) with 5+ years of clinical or medical information experience in oncology.

  • Valid U.S. driver’s license and authorization to work in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship).


Preferred Experience & Skills:

  • Prior MSL or clinical oncology experience in hematologic malignancies or radioligand/theragnostic therapies.

  • Intellectual curiosity and the ability to synthesize complex scientific data.

  • Strong networking, relationship-building, and communication skills.

  • Field-based experience highly valued.

  • Expertise in literature analysis and scientific presentations.

  • Ability to work with high-level stakeholders and manage multiple projects.
