Role Overview

The Advanced Business Analyst – US Patient Analytics will be responsible for transforming complex U.S. healthcare and patient-level data into actionable commercial insights. This role supports strategic decision-making for the U.S. business by delivering advanced analytics, predictive modeling, and executive-ready dashboards.

This position is suited for experienced healthcare analytics professionals with deep exposure to U.S. patient datasets, prescription data, and commercial performance analysis.

About the Department

The Commercial Insight & Analytics function at Novo Nordisk GBS Bangalore drives global data management, advanced analytics, and insight generation to support commercial execution. The team collaborates with cross-functional stakeholders across Business Intelligence, Data Science, Pricing, Contract Operations, and Strategy to deliver measurable business impact.

The US Patient Analytics team specifically supports patient-centric initiatives, adherence programs, and prescription performance tracking in the United States market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead stakeholder discussions to understand business objectives and define analytical approaches.

  • Analyze complex U.S. healthcare datasets including IQVIA, Novocare pharmacy data, and prescription-level patient datasets.

  • Work extensively with U.S. patient datasets such as LRx, LAAD, APLD, and related data sources.

  • Develop advanced statistical models and predictive analytics solutions to forecast patient outcomes, disease progression, and medication adherence.

  • Build dashboards and visualization tools using Tableau, SQL (Dataiku), Python, and Advanced Excel.

  • Create custom analysis solutions using VBA, SQL, Python, PowerPoint, and Tableau.

  • Present insights and strategic recommendations to senior leadership and cross-functional teams.

  • Manage projects end-to-end while handling multiple concurrent assignments.

  • Perform quality checks, maintain documentation standards, and ensure analytical accuracy.

  • Support U.S. stakeholders until 12:00 PM U.S. time as required.

  • Contribute to process improvements and operational excellence initiatives.

Required Experience

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in data analytics, commercial analytics, or healthcare analytics.

  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience analyzing U.S. healthcare or patient-level datasets.

  • Proven experience working with U.S. prescription and patient data sources such as LRx, LAAD, APLD, or similar databases.

  • Strong experience in predictive modeling, advanced statistical analysis, and commercial insights generation.

  • Demonstrated ability to independently lead analytics projects in a global environment.

Educational Qualifications

  • Master’s degree from a recognized institution in Statistics, Life Sciences, Data Science, Technology, Management, or a related discipline.

Technical Skills

  • Advanced proficiency in SQL, Tableau, Python, and Advanced Excel.

  • Experience with Dataiku or similar analytics platforms.

  • Understanding of U.S. healthcare systems, patient support programs, compliance requirements, and regulatory frameworks.

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Microsoft Azure.

  • Strong data visualization and business storytelling capabilities.
