Compensation Overview

The annual base salary range for this position reflects a nationwide market and varies based on several factors, including role complexity, location, and the candidate's qualifications. Employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards as part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program.

What Is the Opportunity?

This entry-level position requires satisfactory completion of a formal training program to advance to the Claim Representative – Auto First Party Medical role. You will develop skills in investigating, evaluating, negotiating, and resolving First Party Medical claims of lesser value and complexity. Quality claim handling is essential throughout the claim life cycle, ensuring compliance with internal and external quality standards and state-specific regulations. An online pre-employment assessment is part of the hiring process, with accommodations available if needed.

What Will You Do?

  • Complete a required training program that includes online, virtual, classroom, and on-the-job training. Travel may be necessary.

  • Engage in ongoing training sessions for the inside auto business.

  • Collaborate with your Unit Manager or mentor to resolve assigned claims promptly.

  • Customer Contacts/Experience: Provide consistent service quality throughout the claim life cycle, including prompt contact, explaining processes, setting expectations, ongoing communication, and follow-through.

  • Coverage Analysis: Review and analyze coverage, applying policy conditions and verifying benefits, eligibility, and limits.

  • Investigation/Evaluation: Investigate claims to gather necessary facts regarding coverage, causation, damages, and medical necessity, including wage loss and essential services claims.

  • Reserving: Establish and maintain timely claim and expense reserves to reflect overall claim exposure.

  • Negotiation/Resolution: Determine settlement amounts, negotiate claims, and manage correspondence with insureds and claimants.

  • Insurance License: Acquire and maintain necessary insurance licenses within three months of starting, completing ongoing continuing education as required.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred or a minimum of 2 years of work or customer service-related experience.

  • A customer-centric attitude and ownership of tasks.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and work independently.

  • Attention to detail ensuring accuracy.

  • Proficiency in keyboard skills and Windows applications, including Excel and Word (intermediate level).

  • Intermediate verbal and written communication skills.

  • Basic analytical thinking and judgment/decision-making skills.

  • High School Diploma or GED and one year of customer service experience, or a Bachelor’s Degree.
